Announcement: Server Closure

After much thought and discussion, we have made the difficult decision to shut down this server.

We poured countless hours of work into creating a stable, fully free-to-play environment for players to enjoy Aion. Our goal was always to reawaken the nostalgic experience of the game and provide a place where players could enjoy it for what it is. While we believe we succeeded in building one of the most stable and well-protected private servers out there, it has become clear that the Aion community today has shifted. Many players move from one startup project to the next, chasing promises rather than investing in what already exists. Without a community that shares our vision, the project simply cannot thrive.

Since this was always a free-to-play project, there was never a financial incentive—only passion. Unfortunately, hosting and maintaining the server has become a financial burden on our development team. We never set out to profit, but we also cannot justify ongoing losses, especially when accompanied by limited support and frequent negativity from parts of the community.

With that in mind, the server will officially close at the end of the current VPS billing cycle. However, if players would like to see it continue, we are open to discussions about financial support to keep it running. Additionally, if any developers are interested in taking over, we are willing to pass along everything we’ve built—our website, launcher, server files, referral system, and custom DDoS protection (which has proven itself against every attack). Much of what we achieved here has never been matched by even the most popular private servers, and we’d love to see that work carried forward by someone who shares the same passion.
